How often should I check my fluids?
All of your fluids should be checked once a week. If you find you are using or losing fluids, you should check them 2-3 times a week. Make sure to keep fluids at their full levels.
How often should my vehicle be tuned up?
Tune ups every 12,000 miles will give you better performance, more gas mileage, and protect your engine from costly repairs.
When should I have the timing belt on my vehicle replaced?
Most factory recommendations are to replace your vehicle's timing belt every 75,000 miles. To be safe, we recommend changing it every 60,000 miles. A broken belt can result in very costly engine repairs or replacement.
What does the 'Check Engine' or 'Service Engine Soon' light mean?
Your vehicle has many sensors feeding information to the onboard computer on your vehicle so that it can regulate your system's performance. When the computer senses a problem with the sensor or the reading the sensor has provided, the light comes on. Some later model vehicles will also display this light at a recommended service interval.
Is it ok to drive my vehicle when a 'Check Engine' or 'Service Engine Soon' light is on?
If the car seems to still run fine, you are most likely ok; but you should come and see us as soon as possible so we can diagnose and fix the problem. The longer you wait the more chances you take on damaging your engine or transmission & that could be a very costly repair.
